The Code
The Code (short for “The Code of Conduct for the Protection of Children from Sexual Exploitation in Travel and Tourism”) is an industry-driven responsible tourism initiative with a mission to provide awareness, tools and support to the tourism industry in order to prevent the sexual exploitation of children. Phuket Has Been Good to Us Foundation
This foundation works to improve the economic opportunities and life changes of underpriviledged Thai children by funding and implementing high quality, practical English language education in government schools (www.phukethasbeengoodtous.org)
Soi Dog Foundation
This animal welfare organisation in Phuket is aimed at humanely reducing the number of unwanted dogs and cats through spaying and neutering. Soi Dog Foundation also treats abused and neglected stray dogs and cats for injury and disease. In addition, Soi Dog Foundation also runs and shelter and rehoming centre for over 300 dogs and dozens of cats, who have been abandoned and abused. (www.soidog.org)
Kamala Green Club
Kamala Green Club is a community of local businesses working together to improve environmental issuses in their hometown. They commit themself to do beach cleanings, improve eco performance, prevent environmental pollution and waste as well as to adapt and promote sustainable practices.
